Oar House (Casa Remo)
Its name comes from the fact that its width is always less than the length of a rowing boat's oar. A window in the gable provides light and ventilation to the interior space, accessed via an interior wooden staircase rising from the kitchen; a door and a small window complete the openings of the main façade. The ground floor comprises a lobby or hallway and a front room, and at the rear, an almost always windowless kitchen.
